Christmas Greenhouse 2013

Sunday, December 1, 2013

A magical little greenhouse
made from old doors and windows
is all dressed up for
~ C~h..rist~mas~
in beautiful unexpected colors.

It's beginning to look like Christmas in my sister's greenhouse.

The evergreen wreath on the horizontal old door
is preserved greens that last for many years.

Wood carved birds and handcrafted mossy nests
hang from a lighted, bare-branches tree.

A wire window box lined with Christmas script burlap and
filled with Christmas greenery combines
elegance with twiggy, rustic touches.

White azaleas in the French wire plant stand add a
French flair.

As does the white display on the opposite counter.
A gray zinc rooster adds a Provençal touch.
The white fleur-de-lis wire planter
looks perfect here, but
is also the perfect size and shape for a mantel display.

White roses stand ready for a special Christmas centerpiece
and pair perfectly with snow-dusted evergreens.

With a little rearranging here,

and a little grouping there, placing whites across the room...

Voilá,

a magical wonderland of unusual
Christmas colors.

The magic of my sister.
